Hi, I'm Laura, a Master Sound Healer, 1000 hour certified yoga instructor along with being a chanting and energy healer as a Reiki Master.
I am the current owner of Whispers in Sound, San Diego. I am an experienced and dynamic teacher of body, mind, and spirit.
I have spent over 5 decades discovering myself through a deeply personal journey, I know I can show you a path to authentic and lasting inner peace.
My journey through sound began over 40 years ago through music, dance, yoga, and over 10 years ago through the magical sounds of the crystal bowls.
I found myself in a state of bliss and deep connection and deeply wanted to share these magical sounds with others. Through my travels around the country as “Crystal Bowls on the Road,” with my husband for over 2 years, I have played my alchemy bowls in many yoga and spiritual studios.
During my travels I have been was blessed to have studied under Dr. Mitchell Gaynor (Oncologist), Ashana, and other well-known leaders in the field of sound healing who have been instrumental in helping me to develop my own playing and teaching style.
In addition, I incorporate years of studying energy healing such as Reiki, Reconnection, and Angel Therapy.
My Healing Journey
As my healing journey began in my teens, I was led to my first Kundalini class and have been actively practicing yoga and meditation ever since.
My 500-hour Yoga certification has exposed me to a variety of yoga disciplines. My training has included studying with many master teachers from around the world; including Swami Veda from the Himalayan Yoga tradition, Raja Yoga with Walt and Magana Baptiste, and many other spiritual leaders in the field of yoga and meditation. Yoga, meditation, and sound have become my tools for transformation for myself and others.
I have earned a BA, a Black Belt in Karate, and I have been influential in the world of Pilates as I started the first Pilates mat program at Rancho La Puerta and Golden Door Health Spas.
In addition, I lead sound healing events weekly for private and public gatherings in San Diego and Sedona, and around the country, and regularly at the world renowned Rancho La Puerta Health Spa. I collaborate with other professional women to enhance your experience of healing, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
These retreats are deeply nurturing and nourishing to one’s soul. The retreats are scheduled intermittently throughout the year and will usually be announced well in advance. If interested, sign up for our newsletter for all events and upcoming retreats. I offer one and two-day courses. My passion uniquely blends sounds from the alchemy crystal bowls, guided meditation, and chanting into all of my yoga classes, seminars, workshops, and private client sessions for an overall soothing transformational experience.

Thank you so so much for the past week at Rancho La Puerta. It was truly healing and such an unexpected gift. I wanted to tell you that before I went to Rancho La Puerta and before your afternoon sessions I had had bloodwork done that indicated issues with my liver. I just had more bloodwork done this morning and everything is in the normal range again, and I’m convinced it was, in part, due to your sound healing sessions.
